Create Wig SKUs That Survive the Second Order
A useful SKU system links the product a customer sees with the specification the factory must repeat. It should remain understandable after the launch artwork has changed.
Define the working document
Choose a stable internal code and connect it to the approved material, cap, cut, texture and colour reference. Keep the public product name separate if your marketing team may rename a collection. The factory needs a reliable specification identity.
Connect the approval points
Record the sample version and the packaging version alongside the SKU. A revised care card does not always mean the hair product has changed, but a new cap component may require a fresh approval. Make those distinctions visible in the record.

Keep the handover traceable
Use the same code on the purchase order, pack label and inspection sheet. Before reordering, ask the team to confirm that it is repeating the intended version. Do not let an old product photograph become the only description of the order.
